As the students of Oak Hill High prepare for graduation, two seniors and their families take center stage. Willow receives her diploma to deafening silence, and she soon must confront the sudden loss of her mother on what should be a joyous day. Struggling with grief, she embarks on a journey of self-discovery, learning to find hope and strength within herself, with her aunt Lily by her side.
Willow's best friend Tyler, unaware of his biological parents, begins to question his roots while attempting to break a generational barrier with his adoptive father, Tom. Bobby, adopted several years after Tyler, longs to be heard and understood, navigating the challenges of adolescence and the desire to carve out his own identity. Tom just tries to keep it all together, while facing struggles on his own.

It doesn't take long for them to cross paths again, as she attends the Super Heroes In Training camp where he's is the special guest instructor.
As they walk down a city street after class, they run into trouble and set into action. During the rumble, they fall into a portal leading to a magical land. The problem is, they took a "normie" with them!

A man and his family sit at the dinner table. As he watches his young child play, he reminisces of his own adventures. The story continues over the next two weeks through his nightly dreams that float between fantasy and a recounting of vivid core memories.
As a boy during the tech boom, his parents would rather he played in real life instead of on a smart phone. To compromise, he joins an online project where students from around the world create a GPS-tracked message in a bottle that they drop into their nearest ocean. After detecting an unsettling trend that could lead to disaster, they try telling their parents. When they don't listen, the kids take matters into their own hands.
Initially passing off the warning as a prank, the community at risk decides to trust the kids and evacuate. Everyone makes it out safely, but we’re left to wonder: was it all just a dream?
